Your use of the Website constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to, the following Terms of Use and Privacy Information. Route 66 Road Map reserves the right to modify, alter, amend or update its Website, policies, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy. TTHe Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are subject to change without notice. If you do not agree with or do not accept any part of the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, you must not use the Website.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

  • Google Adsense – this service is used to manage our display advertisements. To provide personalized advertising options, Google Adsense may track your IP address or location. This information is not stored on the Website. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.
  • Influencer Networks – from time to time, as described herein, the Website may post sponsored content which contains tracking pixels for influencer networks.   • Geo my WP – this service is used to generate content based on location. Pixels and cookies may be used to serve content related to your current location.
  • Grow Social – this service is used to all users to share Website content on user’s social channels. Grow Social will connect using the user’s social channels, but no information is stored on the Website.

At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This list may be amended from time to time at the Website’s sole discretion.

My Route 66 Trip

If a user creates an account to bookmark articles and attractions, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The curated trip page is shareable via a publicly accessible share URL that contains no identifiable information.
